The Seoul ADEX Office complies with the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and other applicable laws and regulations.
This Privacy Policy is available in both Korean and English. In the event of any inconsistency or difference in interpretation between the two versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
Any dispute arising in connection with this Privacy Policy that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Republic of Korea.
Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
① The Seoul ADEX Office processes personal information for the purposes set out below. Personal information will not be used for any purpose other than those stated below. If the purpose of processing changes, the Seoul ADEX Office will take the necessary measures, including obtaining separate consent where required, in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Exhibitor Application and EOSS Operation
Personal information is processed to receive, review, and manage exhibitor applications; operate EOSS; provide application status updates and information concerning invoices, payments, and other procedures necessary for participation; and respond to inquiries. -
Marketing Use
Personal information is processed for the purpose of providing information related to exhibitions.
② The purposes and items of the personal information files processed by the Seoul ADEX Office are as follows.

- Purpose : Management of exhibitor applications, EOSS operation, and communications necessary for exhibition participation
- Items : Name, company or organization, phone number, email address, address, and job title/position/rank (optional)

Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)
① The Seoul ADEX Office processes and retains personal information within the period prescribed by applicable laws and regulations or within the retention period agreed to by the data subject when the personal information is collected.
② The processing and retention periods are as follows.
- Exhibitor Application and EOSS Operation : Two years from the end date of Seoul ADEX 2027
- Marketing Use : Until consent is withdrawn or two years from the end date of Seoul ADEX 2027, whichever occurs first
Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
① The Seoul ADEX Office processes personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 and does not provide personal information to third parties unless the data subject has consented or such provision is otherwise permitted or required by law.
Article 4 (Entrustment of Personal Information Processing)
① The Seoul ADEX Office entrusts the following personal information processing operations to third-party service providers to ensure the efficient operation of its services.

- Entrusted services : Website and EOSS maintenance and exhibitor application data management

Exhibition Preparation and Operation
- Service providers : Official contractors designated by the Seoul ADEX Office
- Entrusted services : Provision of exhibition preparation and operation services and related notices

② In accordance with Article 26 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Seoul ADEX Office specifies in written agreements matters concerning the prohibition of personal information processing beyond the purpose of the entrusted services, technical and administrative safeguards, restrictions on sub-entrustment, management and supervision of service providers, and liability for damages. The Seoul ADEX Office also supervises service providers to ensure that personal information is processed securely.
③ Any changes to the entrusted services or service providers will be disclosed through this Privacy Policy.
Article 5 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Legal Representatives and How to Exercise Them)
① Data subjects may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of, suspension of processing of, or withdrawal of consent regarding their personal information held by the Seoul ADEX Office.
② Rights under paragraph ① may be exercised in writing, by email, or by fax in accordance with Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act. The Seoul ADEX Office will respond to such requests without undue delay.
③ Data subjects may exercise their rights through a legal representative or another duly authorized representative.
④ Requests for access to or suspension of the processing of personal information may be restricted in accordance with Article 35(4) or Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
⑤ A request for deletion may not be granted where other laws require the personal information to be collected or retained.
⑥ When a request for access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent is made, the Seoul ADEX Office will verify whether the requester is the data subject or a duly authorized representative.

Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)
① The Seoul ADEX Office destroys personal information without undue delay when the retention period expires, the purpose of processing has been achieved, or the personal information is otherwise no longer necessary.
② If personal information must be retained under applicable laws even after the agreed retention period has expired or the purpose of processing has been achieved, the information will be transferred to a separate database or stored separately from other personal information.
③ The procedures and methods for destruction are as follows.

Destruction Procedure
The Seoul ADEX Office identifies personal information subject to destruction and destroys it with the approval of the Personal Information Protection Officer. -
Destruction Method
Personal information stored electronically is permanently deleted using methods that prevent recovery or reproduction. Paper records are destroyed by shredding or incineration.
Article 8 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)
① The Seoul ADEX Office takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.
- Administrative measures : Establishment and implementation of internal management plans and regular employee training
- Technical measures : Management of access rights to personal information processing systems, operation of access control systems, encryption of personal information, and installation of security programs
- Physical measures : Access controls for computer rooms, data storage rooms, and other facilities where personal information is stored
Article 9 (Use of Cookies and How to Refuse Them)
① The Seoul ADEX Office uses cookies to maintain login sessions and support the smooth operation of its online services.
② A cookie is a small data file sent by a website server to a user's web browser and may be stored on the user's device.
